pine trees. there are huge areas in Chile which have been destroyed by forest fires, the first thing the govenment did was clear up the land and plant pine trees to slowly replace them with native vegetation natural to the place, but pine trees and bamboos grow the fastest.

It depends on the ecosystem.  Pine trees are early invaders and yes, some require intense heat to allow their cones to release their seeds.  Other early successional trees include fire or pin cherry, aspens and white and gray birch.
