i would like to know what type the following variables are for example whether they are continuous, dicontinuous etc:

Independant variable - the position on the tongue

Dependant variable - siensitivety of the tongue to the taste

Dependant variable - how many mistakes are made

the position of the tongue is continuous through its allowed range of movement.

sensitivity of the tongue to taste is discontinuous because at some point the taster will not be able to distinguish between two very close tastes.

mistakes made would be discontinuous as you cant make 1.999 mistakes, only 1 or 2 etc.
