Hey Santiago, i am really thankful for what you answered me. My visa type is D and it is student visa for 180 days. I don´t think i can renew it in Morroco ...cos i am a Mongolian, the Spanish embassy which is in charge with Mongolians visa affair is in Beijing, so it means that i have to ask extension from there ? what do you think ? there is Mongolian consulate in Barcelona, do they can do anything, i mean do they renew the visa ?OK by now don´t remember more but will keep asking, thank you very much,

  1. Hi, Santiago asked me to tell you that he had checked and could only telll you the following. That he had checked the Schengen story and the best probably is to go to Andorra which is the closest country to Spain that is not in the treaty yet you can get more info below and there are links to special word that might interest you:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/schengen_tr...

You can also try to see if your school or university can help or give you a hand or recomendation for Spanish authorities since usually they are more leniant with students. The embassy should help but usually they do not. They did not help Santiago when he had similar problem in USA. Still you can try and pressure them specially if all papers in order. Also remeber the gestoria, it is maybe good, some do hjave contacts. So maybe you have to live the country but if you are studying and your papers are OK, meaning all the acceptance and required shcool/university maybe you can do what he did.

Santiago had same problem but in the US some years ago had to change from tourist to student visa, he had been accepted by University and they denied him the change of visa. He went three times to speak to the Boston Emigration building always same official and he told him in writing to leave the country in seven days. So S walked into the federal bulilding with the permission toor card they give you in oficial building but instead of going to the first floor, where they had denied his visa, he went to last floor, found floors in Dirctory entrance directly to the US director of emigration in Boston, told his secretary he had a big problem, only he could help and also wanted to make a complaint about how he had been treated. He had to wait seating there several hours but finnaly they let him in. So he told the director his case, what a serious prejudice they would cause him to have to return to Spain to hand in the samer papers he was delivering in the US, how rude and umpolite was the officialthat  was denying him visa and how he had tole him to leave the country in 7 days.

Santiago said it was not easy and he had to insist very much in seing & explaining that when US citizens came to Spain they where not misstreated and insulted as he had been, since the official was an ar_ ehole anbd that all his papers where OK and that he was not rich and could not afford to return and come back just for the sake of regulations. He insisted in the prejudice they would cause him and also how unpolite , rude and cruel was the official. Finnaly the director of emigration gave him a letter to hand to the same official who had denied him and he did so.

The official read it, got really upset, and after s**+---ng in his pants he gave S the visa and apologised. So you can try something like that since if they deny you the visa being a student they are being real ****---les and you should complain strongly yet very politely.

Making many refernces about all good things you heard about Spain and that now you were very surprised. They must feel realy for your situation and that is easy since it is a real situation and it might be critical for you.

These countries bellow are non-signatories of the treaty:

San Marino, although not formally part of the Schengen zone, has an open border with Italy (although some random checks are made by Carabinieri, Polizia di San Marino and Guardia di Finanza).

Monaco, which borders onto the Mediterranean Sea: The Schengen Agreement is administered as if Monaco were a part of France, with French authorities carrying out the Schengen checks at Monaco's sea port.

Liechtenstein is not yet part of the Schengen area; it has an open border with Switzerland (which has not yet implemented the agreement) but border controls are still carried out between it and its Austrian EU-neighbour. As part of the European Economic Area (EEA) it applies the Traditional Free Movement of Persons acquis of the European Community; Liechtenstein intends to adhere to the Schengen area and it applied to join in the autumn of 2005. The EU Council of Ministers gave their assent to the start of the negotiations in late February 2006. It is expected to be implemented by Liechtenstein in 2008. [5]

Vatican City has expressed a desire to join Schengen. It already has an open border with Italy, but enforcing the Schengen Agreement will allow for closer cooperation in information sharing and similar activities covered by the Schengen Information System.[6]

Andorra is not integrated into the Schengen zone and border controls remain. Usually non-EU nationals holding a valid Schengen visa are allowed to enter Andorra from France/Spain by road without any passport control at the border.

Check it out and decide. Santiago already told you other options you might want to try yet check the site above and maybe you get a better picture. It depend how bad and what you are ready to do. There alre also figures in institutions and then like defensor del pueblo, in different areas, who help spanish citizens, often they are decen noble men who if they find a way to help you maybe they will even if you are not spanish. You can stay incognito and even travel abroad since usually once inside a Schengen country they do not check you in customs of other schengen country only airlines check you at gate but instead of showing passport show can try showing other kind of ID like drivers licence, you maybe can get a Spanish one, for the plain tickets check, done by airhostesses of the airline.

He said if he were you and he tried all things and nothing worked he would stay. Worse come to worse they will just send you back to Mongolia withna free ticket. Also you can email him since he thinks this type of information is maybe to much to describe in punblic. There is a link if you double click his face and you can email him and he will not know your email since it is yahoo answers that send s it to him.

Best regards and good luck from S and myself

    JT
