  1. Around then they would be using short/long swords, maces and shields, but it was pretty savage so there would be quite a lot of physical contact.

  2. Broadswords and shields, spears, battleaxes, bows and arrows. A well-trained warhorse also probably could be classed as a weapon.

  3. The main weapon was the spear. Broadswords were also used. The Saxons had long-handled axes. The Bayeux Tapestry shows some maces too. The Normans used some bows and arrows. Some people wrongly believe the Saxon king Harold II was shot in the eye with an arrow. The tapestry shows a man in such manner, and it says Harold was killed near it, but it also shows a man being cut down by swords, and that is really Harold.

  4. The Saxon army consisted almost entirely of huscarls, who typically used spears and Danish battleaxes and kite shields in tight formation, but commonly wore long knives called seaxes. Javelins were also in common use.

The Normans were a more varied crowd, and had three main portions - archers, infantry and knights. The knights used long spears from horseback, but also swords and in some cases maces. The infantry would typically use spears and sword. Then there were the archers. The longbow had not come into use yet, so they mainly used shorter bows and crossbows, though the tight formation of the Saxons made them ineffective.

  5. Broadswords, spears, daggers, axes, Saxon Huscarl axes, javelins, Norman bows and crossbows. some people who were untrained had sorts of stuff like daggers and javelins

  6. Armillar has an excellent answer.
