I bought this Colin Cowie/Stirrings all natural Sangria Mix with rimmer. The package said that you should add a full bottle of RED TABLE WINE to the whole bottle of mix and fresh fruit, etc.

What exactly is RED TABLE WINE? Please list kinds and/or brands...thanks very much....I am planning on entertaining with a pitcher of this soon ;)

  1. Franzia wine in a box, this is a decent drinkable red.  try their merlot, should work good for sangria.

  2. I would use Cabernet Sauvingnon.  Burgundy is also good.

  3. Any decent red wine . Italian chianti, cabernet sauvignon, or burgandy will do. Not sweet red wine however

  4. Any cheep red wine will do....got to the grocery store and buy a bottle of a cheap Merlot or a Cabernet...dont spend more then 10 bucks for the bottle. Red table wine is generally a generic red wine somewhere between a Pinot noir and a Cabernet.
