I have a small bathroom and I want to board off the horrible pipes that run underneath the sink (you know the type!). I just want to cover them so that I don't see them anymore. Any tips and advise, also what wood should I use?

  1. i think ply wood would do the job for you.

  2. Another idea outside of your current options:

Buy a curtain of any type, design you like but it is not see-through.  Attach velcro  to the sink edge - sticky type and sew the other velcro to the inside of the curtain, attach the curtain around the perimeter of the sink - looks good, little work, and gives a location to storage toilet rolls, plunger, etc.

  3. fix wooden batten around the pipework then fix either mdf or plywood to that, then paint it in an appropriate colour to match your colour scheme. It doesn't really matter what wood you use for the batten

  4. I would go with the plywood too, as it would hold up better to water and also paint or stain it accordingly.  I would like to add that this cover should be attached in such a way that you can easily remove it to access the pipes if repair is ever needed.

  5. just replace the sink with a sink that has a cabinet

  6. Plywood, you can paint it then, or just stand the little storage units in front of them, I have seen that done.

  7. mdf cheap and easy to use (apparently)

  8. hi

i would use 6mm ply much better than mdf and more water resistant easily cut less dust

will need a supporting frame to attach it too made of some softwood you have already painted for protection
