How does the wood of a bat affect the power, weight, and liability to break? Should I get bamboo or maple or ash or etc.? Also give me your opinion on the best wood bat on the market (but not the demarini composite). Thanks for your help

  1. iron wood or hickery

  2. maple bat. the syrup has an affect in power!

  3. Ive found ash to be very durable and good feeling. they are also very cheap for how good they are. go to this link. you can choose from any bat and customize colors, name, etc.

  4. Kerry Wood

  5. maple will most likely brake, not bamboo either.

    go for ash

  6. They have done studdies that the ash vs. mapple really isnt any different, however the type of wood giving a hitter an advantage is strictly mental. Mapple & Ash are basically the same except for the way they break.

  7. Hickory is best. Ash and maple are cheaper substitutes
