I'll be knitting. It will be getting wet. Should it be lined with another material?

  1. it depends on weather you are going to wear it in the pool.

if you plan to wear it in the pool, then cotton would be the worst yarn to use. especially if it going to be a different color rather than white. plus your swimwear will stretch out of shape in no time at all.  you should use a yarn that can handle bleach since the pool will be full of it.  you can try acrylic yarn or yarn that has elastic built in.

if its just for around the pool and will have no contact with the chlorine then you can use whatever yarn you want.

  2. Cotton would be the best all round thread to use and line it with cotton fabric to keep it from stretching out of shape and to keep you from showing through when it is wet.  You will need chlorine proof elastic for the waist(if it is a bikini) around the legs, and straps.

  3. probably cotton yarn and yes i think it should be lined. i don't know with what though

  4. probably not any kind of yarn so try plastic strings or something
