What types of DNA are there?

Okay, so there is DNA, RNA, and tRNA, what else is there? Can someone clarify this please?

  1. There are DNA, messenger RNA, ribosomal RNA, transfer RNA. The mitochondria and chloroplasts also have their own DNA and RNA.


  2. OKIM IM has given a good answer if you are referring to types of nucleic acids.

    I'm not sure if you might be asking about different forms of the DNA structure.  If so, there are three forms of the double helical DNA structure:

    1) A-form DNA (a right-handed helix)

    2) B-form DNA (a right-handed helix, most commonly found in nature)

    3) Z-form DNA (a left-handed helix)
