  1. Whichever type you get to grow be sure it is well contained because bamboo is invasive and will take over your yard like the jungle took over the Aztec pyramids.


  2. Those Phyllostachys are all runners. Try Fargesia species, it cold tolerant and clumping

  3. Some types can width stand winter lows of -20 F.

    Make sure the sun exposure will work for the plants you select. Most of the cold-hardy clumping bamboos need afternoon shade.
