  2. Well, where I live most of the time I have two fancy parakeets, 3 finches, a cockateil and two love birds. At my other home, i have a cockatoo, grey african, macaw, and a ring neck. I love them all!

  3. i have cockatails i dont know if thats how you spell it

  4. I have three caiques.

  5. I had a pair of peachfaced lovebirds and a parakeet.

I had a friend with a mina bird, it was the coolest bird I have ever seen!

  6. iv had budgies most of my life, my one right now is purple ( :D) and he flys back to his cage and opens the door to go in again

  7. Just a parakeet, and my dumb old cat leaped unto the dresser and jumped to the ceiling pulling the cage down and devoured him. It was 15 years ago.

  8. I presently own three pairs of Double Yellow Head Amazons. (two pairs or magnas) Three pairs of Yellow Nape Amazons, one pair of Blue Front Amazons, one pair of African Greys, 50 pair of cockatiels and about fifty racing pigeons.  I also have a flock of parakeets that I raise babies from. (approx 200)

I guess if the SPCA was to come here they would want to clean me out of animals because I have so many. The would say that I was a harborer. I have always had lots of animals.

Since I became disabled in a car wreck and can no longer ply my trade.  I after three years of sitting and doing basicaly nothing I started raising more birds. I had birds but nothing like I do now.

I have raised all types of birds. If you were to drop by I do have different types of birds from time to time, but the ones listed are the major residents in my aviary/urban farm.

I have turned my hobby into my buisiness. The only thing is it will take me years to make my investment in these birds back. In just the last year I have invested just a little over $10,000.00 in parrots and cages to put them in. I had always wanted to breed Amazons so when the oprotunity came up last year to buy an aviary out, I did! I already had four pair of parrots. I decided to go into the bird business. I have to hire the heavy labor out and rely on friends to help. I might not ever make my money back but I am a whole lot better metaly than I was before I got these birds to spend my time with.

I also have a flock of Polish Chickens. They are standard size. I have them in five different colors. I also have a flock of 27 Heritage turkeys. I have Royal Palms, Bourbon Reds, Gaint White, Spannish Blacks and Lavendar or Blue splash turkeys.

  9. My parents gave me my first budgie for my 5th birthday and that started the whole chain reaction lol.

At the moment we have around 60 budgies, 13 cockatiels, 5 Bourkes, 7 lovebirds, 4 quakers and 4 quails.

My son got his first budgie for his 5th b'day too.

The love of birds has certainly rubbed off on him and he is asking Santa for a Sun Conure this year.

He has a way with birds and even helped handraise his own cockatiel.

My 2 year old daughter loves the quakers and will talk to them for hours. Unfortunately she doesn't speak very clearly and they have started to copy her "whada doon"....meaning "what are you doing?" and "crash oocy" meaning "scratch Lucy".

My quakers talk baby talk lol.

  10. I have 2 parakeets and I use to have finches

  11. I have owned parakeets (they are all gone now :(  )    I currently own a blue and gold macaw (my baby), a sun conure, and a yellow naped amazon.

Trying to talk other half into  yellow collared mini macaw and a rose breasted cockatoo
