  1. O- blood types can only receive blood from other O- types because the antibodies for O blood will not take type A or B


  2. Z is right.  O neg can receive O neg or in extreme cases...O pos. The patients that they do not like to give Rh positive blood to is women of childbearing age or those with previous Rh antibodies.  If a person has never been transfused before, they can receive Rh positive blood once.  

  3. Although in an extreme (and I mean extreme) emergency O+ can be used; it will cause problems of course but not as often a bigger problem than death ;>)
