What types of boats are good for traveling far and in really bad weather conditions?

some people are sailing around the world in regular sailboats, so I'm wondering how can they do this.

I'm worried about high waves that can sink you. I heard about sailboats that can capsize but they will quickly stand up, so they are unsinkable.

the bigger, the better. a bigger boat can have larger supplies of food, water, gas, they wont capsize too quickly, they can handle large waves and strong wind. then the safety equipment is also good to think about, cause the size didnt help the titanic. today the equipment can help you to warn about icebergs (I think so).

I'd take a small full keel sailboat over a big motor yacht any day.

Bigger boats can break easier than small stout boats.

Imagine a big egg and a small egg with the same shell thickness.
