I'm a second year college student right now and I absolutely love my major. Psychology is what I always wanted to do but lately my mom has been worried about what type of career options will be available to me when I graduate with my B.S. in psychology. I keep trying to tell her that soon as I graduate from college that i'm going straight to grad school, but she still worried. So can anyone please give me some advice or tell me what kind of job or career can I have with a B.S. in psychology?

  1. You need to go on to really become a psychologist.  (go to apa.org)

With a bachelor's you might find a job working with a non-profit organization, social services, support role in public education....but you really need a minimum of a master's degree.  (college psych prof)

  2. You can be a (HR )Human Resources in charge for Hiring and Recruiting in any company.

  3. About the only thing you can do with a BS in psychology (Isn't that an oxymoron?) is go into an officer program in the military. Most pseudo-science jobs require a doctorate.
