there are many different types of diamonds, and they come in different sizes, shapes, and even colors. The best thing would be to research or just go to the mall or something and ask the people that have jewelry stores. This is my opinion cause my father has a jewelry store.

There are many types of Diamonds including Raw.Pinks, Yellows (canary), Black ( rarest) , Flawless, Blues , White

Diamonds are the hardest material in the world and only a diamond can cut another diamond.. They are nothing like rubies, sapphires or emeralds they are their own gem stones

There are four basic types of diamond:-

Type I

Type IIa

Type IIb

Type III

Type I (the most common, about 999 out of 1000) show continuous UV absorption below 3300 A.U. Type II below 2500 A.U. Type IIa are electrically non conducting Type IIb act as semiconductors. Type III also known as Lonsdalite is found as minute crystals in meteorites.

There are many other categories diamonds can be put into according to their crystal morphology but I do not want my answer to be any more confusing than it already is,
