What types of fish are in Lake Allatoona?

I'm going tubing and I'm nervous about...fish. I know turtles, snakes, & catfish. So please I'm so paranoid. I heard a rumor about Gar? Ugh scary! so please help.

When you fall off the tube don't let your tootsies dangle in the water to long. They might look like bait to turtles. I heard turtles can swim very fast.LOL LOL LOL.   Actually the noise from the boat would scare anything away. I would'nt worry. Go tubing and have the time of your life, don'tforget a floatation device and be safe.

There has never been a report of anyone being attacked by a fish or a turtle in Lake Allatoona.  Tube with pleasure, and have a ball!

Yeah', they got some Gar but, I wouldn't worry bout' it, what with the noise ie., splasin', movin' around and what not, believe me they'll stay clear of ya'. In other words, quite a' distance. Below is a' link that gives one a run-down on the lake itself. Hope this helps a bit ;)... < ' ( (( > <

Note; Might be a good idea ta' sport some kind of PFD (Personal Floatation Device) aka life-jacket. Just a thought but, you do what ya' think is best ~ stay safe................

FishSteel has provided you with a great site, as they have a description of the native snakes as well, this would be my main concern as far as spending to much time dangling in the shallows, the fish here are basically harmless, with the hybrid Striped Bass being the specialty, ( from the looks of it as I've never personally fished this lake), but according to 2 min. of research I just did, snakes are all to real throughout Georgia, especially the Water Moccasin.  I hate to pee on your parade, but that's the truth................, again, I don't want to discourage you from tubing at all, cause you can't let the critters control your fun, just have your  boat driver stay out deep, don't land on the beaches when you switch riders, switch in deep water, as the snakes wont be out there, they only stay shallow.   OK have fun. (lol)
