  3. Handball is part of the  Irish Gaelic Games this is the hand with a glove hitting the ball off of walls.  That can be played as doubles or singles.

    By European Handball your probably referring to indoor team Handball version with two teams 7 vs 7 object of the game team that scores the most goals win.

    Besides the indoor version there's is also Field-Handball played on a grass field (same size as in soccer) 2 teams and it's 11 vs 11. This version was played at the 1936 Summer Olympics and used to have a world championships until it was discontinued after 1966.

    Beach Handball- Played on the sand 2 teams of 4 (with 4 substitute players per team) on a small court 27 by 20 meters. Games are played over two half's of 10 minutes each. You score extra points for spectacular goals- in flight, through a penalty or by a goalkeeper.
