What types of jobs are the jobs where you MUST have good credit in order to work? What jobs do credit checks?

I'm in debt because of Hurricane Katrina, trying to replace my losses 3 yrs. ago. Since then, I've been finacially struggling & haven't been able to find a job. I have a BA degree in Spanish.

Discover card sued me, & the written notice states if they win the case, a judgment goes on my credit, & I won't be able to find a job. If that's the case, how am I ever going to pay off my debts?

I have a disability. I get SSI & Social Security. I heard that they can't garnish that. But I'm still worried. I'm WILLING to work & pay these people off, but for almost 3 yrs., I've been struggling to find a job. No one wants to hire me because of my Tourette's. & if they DO hire me, they fire me that same day when they notice my tics. It really is a struggle. What advice do you have?

Are you fluent in Spanish?  There's a huge need for ESL coaches... also, have you considered freelancing tutoring?  Just teach Spanish speaking folks English for $20/hour or so.
