  1. there aren't many.

I've been in sales for 21 years.  I love cold-calling.  It's my favorite part of the job.

  2. A lot of service oriented businesses only have their sales people call out on leads they get from potential customers. For example, you might have some kind of home improvement company that set up a booth at a home and garden show. And, interested people (or those who wanted to enter a contest) submit their contact information to the company at the show. The company then gives that information to the sales people, who call the prospective client to set up an appointment to get an estimate.

  3. The types that don't pay very much.

  4. Sales without cold calling is called customer service.

  5. r-r-r-r-r-r-r-retail!

  6. If you are afraid of prospecting, you will be stuck in retail- at retail pay- forever.

If you want to make money, you need to get outside your comfort zone.
