What types of sharks are in New Jersey?

How far away are they from the shore? Which ones will most likely attack close to shore?

  1. loan sharks, down town.the water may not be right for sharks near you, perhaps an angry big white.


  2. Mako sharks - Makos are worldwide in distribution, favouring tropical and temperate waters. They do not school, and they are never seen in very large numbers. Like the porbeagle, the mako tends to inhabit deeper waters than the great white.

    Blue sharks - Sometimes known as the blue whaler because of its frequent presence at the scene of a whale kill, the blue shark is not reputed to be particularly dangerous to humans.  

    Thresher - Thresher sharks are solitary creatures which keep to themselves

  3. Loan sharks? Mostly found inland
