What types of things look good on a firefighter resume?

You want to deff add where you went to Firefighter school at and how long, you want to put down all your certifications, like: search and rescue, CPR, ect...they want to know how much you have learned, if you acually got a certificate of completion or diploma in it. All those things you listed are not used in firefighting so they will not really do you any good they will just look good at the bottom of other things I specialize in or something. They want to know all you know about all there is to know about saving lives, fire rescue and seardch training. If you have updated anything, put that also.

How about a factual history of the actual training and experience of the applicant? As a fire chief, in the process of intervieing potential recruits, I am far more interested in the training and experience that any extracurricular experiences such as SCUBA certification or boy scouts.

why are you asking your question in the Special Ed section? why do so many people not understand that Special Education deals with people who have physical and/or mental disabilities?
