  1. I have found the thing that molds the fastest in my refridgerator is strawberries.  Hope that helps.

  2. Soft cheeses, like Mozerella.  Over-ripe fruits, too.

  3. bread of course.....anytype....onions do if they are in a dark damp place for too long......same with garlic......cheese will if left too long some lunch meats as well

  4. Bread

    hot dog meat

    tomato

    cheese

    milk

Anything organic that need to be refrigerate, but are left outside at room temperature are bound to get mould in no time at all.

  5. Most things organic will mold. Inorganic things will get mold on their surfaces due to contamination and moisture of that.

Molds are fungus but not all fungus is mold.

In agriculture it is a big deal. Look at Botritus. This is what makes a lot of foods and plants outside "mold".

When taking a course on plant diseases at school, one of the first things we looked at was Botritus cinerea in Petunia plants.

If your short of time look at strawberries mentioned by another response earlier though. Variables might include cleaning them using 1% to 10% bleach solutions (an experiment you can do with bruised fruit), packaging to keep from damage and the resultant fungus, varieties chosen for shipping with less fungus and why (shipped unripe, harder flesh varieties, containers, etc). Look at problems in the field and how the grower limits the cause (keep field clean by reducing inoculum, the population of spores that cause the fungus to spread). Look at growing technique to limit problems of post harvest contamination. Have fun and good luck.
