for some reason she has a bump almost the size of a 14 year old thumb on the top of her head near the ear its sorta hard but a little squishy. I poked it but it doesn't hurt her or bother her. Is it a soar or a tumor or anything else?

  1. It probably is a tumor, you could try to remove it at an exotic vets, but it will probably get expensive

  2. i think it is most likely an infection, not a tumor...

  3. it is something that a vet could tell you

  4. It may well be a tumor.  Our guinea pig had a couple but recovered.  Vets are really expensive so be kind and as long as you have time.

  5. i think its a tumor, but what do i know? Go to a vet

  6. I would definitely go let a vet check it out. I just had to take mine to a vet for a bladder infection.

  7. It could be an infection, or a cancer tumor. You should definetly have that checked by the vet!

I know you probably hate hearing that, but it's the best you can do for your pig. In the meantime, try not to touch it too much.

Is your guinea pig still eating and drinking ok? If so, she probably is going to be ok, but the bump sounds pretty big.

Please take her to the vet, thanks!

  8. It could be an abscess or tumor. You should take her to a vet http://www.guinealynx.info/vet.html

  9. It could be a cyst, an abscess, or a tumor. The only way to diagnose the cause of the lump is biopsy done by an exotics vet.
