What undershirt is better to wear: t-shirt/crew shirt or a-shirt?

wife beaters...it will be seen under any shirt and if u pick a t-shirt/crew you might have white t-shirt hanging out...

Depends what you want to wear it under and what purpose you want it to serve.

A  lot of really hairy guys use a T-shirt under a dress shirt to keep the hair from showing thro a shirt and to absorb sweat.. Athletic shirts serve somewhat the same purpose during sports or gym. A crew neck shirt is a sporty/casual look. Wear what you look good in and what is appropriate for the circulation.  If you are relatively free from hair and are too hot in a T-shirt, then wear what is comfortable....clean and neat is the way to go.
