We are taking a 10 day trip there and I want to bring back a few NICE things for friends/family that are above the usual T-Shirts, etc. What suggestions do people have for unusual or unique items that just scream out "FRANCE" when you see it? Thanks! :D

  1. Hello it depends on your budget: Here are a few suggestions in order of price, starting at lowest:

    Soaps from France

    $

French milled soaps from Provence - one of the most prestigious soap making areas in the world. This region has been linked for centuries to the history of soap.

Production rules go back to the seventeenth century, through the Sun King himself, King Louis XIV's royal edict of 1688.

    $

Eiffel Tower, An image known world wide: key chains, crystals, and yes t-shirts.

    $$

The Little Prince:Carrousel du Louvre, 99, rue de Rivoli. This store's name is "Le ciel est à tout le monde". It's a toy store that has many things, but it has a VERY large section of Little Prince merchandise. Among the things they sell are vinyl figurines, clocks, watches, stationary, plush dolls, collectible resin dolls, party invitations, posters, postcards, address books, and diaries, all of which are perfect likenesses of the little prince himself.

    $$

    French Enamel Signs

Reminiscent of the street signs in Paris, or the door signs in your favorite old French hotel

    $$$

French Cafe Glassware, Coasters and Wine Magnets, Wine Sets and Aprons from Laguiole

Hope this helps. Have a great trip!

    Kind regards, Wendy

  2. Bring back as many cans of foie gras and bottles of Calvados as you can.
