I recently got some very cool retro fabric placemats and napkins that I can't bear to use as...napkins and placemats. Does anyone have any ideas how I could decorate with these items? Looking for some unique ideas. Thanks.

  1. frame them and use them as art.

  2. You could make a valance out of them.

  3. Fold them into a really cool shape and frame them under glass.  Use them as doillies (?) under a vase that goes with them.  Accordian fold them, starch them really good then secure in the middle, fan it out and secure the ends then hang them on the wall as medallions.

  4. tooth-paste, nickels, hand grenades.

  5. I did that with pillows. The tough thing is that napkins are usually not perfectly symetrical in cut, so you have to be clever in how you want to stich it together, because you have 2 very slightly different shapes, which to the naked eye doesn't seem like it, but they are.
