What used to scare you on TV

My mum left me in front of this when i was a toddler(!) Hartley Hare was a mangy sumbitch who used to be really creepy, i just found a clip and got scared all over again. (and he was nothing compared to Octavia Ostrich in the same show>if i saw her now i'd probably loose bowel control!)

LOL PG! Do you remember the monkey Topov? My husband and his mates used to call this annoying kid in their school Topov cos he was so irritating...Guess who his sister married 20 years later ..yup she is now Mrs Topov!

My scary thing was some public safety thing were a kids doll get sucked into an escalator...and men with moustaches which was a bit of a bummer being a child of the 70's!

I hated this very harmless puppett show programme called "Hector's House". It scarred me to death, in particular, Kiki the Frog freaked me out. I was so scarred by it I was unable to turn our old clunky, 70's TV off so I pushed it over instead!!

I hated that screaming telly on will'o the wisp. I can't remember being afraid of anything really though - I loved the original davros on doctor who and the daleks

I was never scared of Hartley Hare but looking at that I certainly should have been! What a pervert! Lol

I used to get scared when Bruce Banner turned into the Incredible Hulk. I think I might have been quite a sensitive child :-)

I found Mumm-Ra from Thundercats scary!

Once, they had a promotional thing at my local Woolworth's (Name of a shop, for those in the States) and they had a guy in a Mumm-Ra costume. I wouldn't go anywhere near him. I hid behind my mum!

I've watched an episode or two since growing up and, while I'm not scared any more, I can see why I was scared.

What really haunted me as a child was Courage The Cowardly Dog. It was just too weird and forboding, it remains as the darkest cartoon to date. It's just plain scary at times and not entertaining in the least. it's creepy is what it is.

When I couldn't sleep as a child I'd watch s****.-Doo even though is scared the daylights out of me lol. Doesn't bother me now, although I am really jumpy person and I HATE scary movies, but I LOVE to watch them.

I just watched the YouTube video you posted. I nearly keeled over with laughter. It might be because it's 4:00am and I can't sleep... That was almost too dirty for a child to watch!

That isn't an American Show, but reminds me of Mr.Rogers Neighborhood.

I never seen that when a child and it scared me now

The one that used to scare me was an add, was in some language I have no idea what one and I have to this day know idea what it was about. Some person on a motorbike and then some words and a round black rubber thing on the ground. Feels me with dread thinking of that add to this day. i used to jump behind the sofa when it came on. the guy on the bike looked really scary. A cross between Russel Grant and Denise Quad.

I used to like Pipkins. But, it`s only when you look at it now, that you realise what a manky puppet Hartley was. Didn`t he have a cousin that lived in the countryside and wasn`t there another character called Inspector Pig.

I think this lot were pretty disturbing. Lol.
