  1. i agree with florayg

you dont need any but its advisable for prevac t

    you need it to compete

to stable horses at racing yards

to stable horses at most livery yards

    for pony club (some)

talk to your vet about whats best for your horse

  2. They don't NEED any unless you are competing when they will require the flu jabs every year. They are supposed to have tetanus regularly for safety but the vets recommend the tetanus jab much more often than they really need it. The flu jab is a waste of money, it's based on last years virus so is rarely effective

  3. You will need flu and tetanus which is yearly.

The first course will entail 2 injections 4-6 weeks apart.  This is if your horse has never been vaccinated or if the vaccination schedule has lapsed.

If you require further information, speak to your vet.

  4. Annual vaccinations against equine influenza (flu), and a tetanus shot once every two years. Other vaccines are available but these are the most common.

The first jab is done, then a second 3-6 weeks later, followed by a third 3-6 months later. Thereafter, the jabs are annual.
