What variety of cookies do they have in America?

I love dunking my biscuits in tea ummmm.!! Custard creams, rich tea, digestive, malted milk even the odd party ring! I just love all them all:) I was wondering, what varieties of cookies are there in America? And do they like dunking them in tea?

We have all sorts of cookies here in the US - Chocolate chips, sugar, gingerbread, oatmeal - with and without raisins, shortbread, filled cookies like Oreos and Nutter Butters, soft cookies, hard cookies, flavored cookies, cookies with a cookie base, marshmallow cream top and dipped in chocolate, with nuts and without nuts, the list goes on.  Some Americans like to dunk their cookies in tea but I think most prefer to dunk them in either coffee or cold milk.

really we have almost any type of cookie imaginable

chocolate chip is probably the most common.

but heres a small list

chocolate chip, sugar, peanut-butter, white chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, oatmeal, chocolate, white chocolate macadamian nut, cinnamon raisin, nilla wafers. oreos, so much more, you could invent your own cookie and it would immediately become a US brand cookie :P.

like a banana cookie or somthing. haha

chocolate chip, oreo, nutter butter, vienna fingers,pepperridge farm rock &  stella doro are good in tea all are good with milk!

We tend to enjoy cold milk will our cookies, I do not know of anyone who dunks cookies in tea in Los Angeles at least.

We like sugar cookies, chocolate chip, various kinds of nuts, chocolate cookies, oreos, biscuits, etc. At least, that's what I like

We have all the cookies available in the known world because as the melting pot of the world we have grown up with bakeries for all the peoples.

We dunk ours in milk for strong growing bodies, and coffee and I guess those who drink tea emulate you Brits and dunk in tea.

I even go to the point of dunking in beer for a while until I discovered the chocolate chips were sobering me up

American are strange in that they rarely drink tead, and it is rarer still to dunk in tea.  They prefer milk.

Not much dunking in tea goes on over here.  More dunking in milk or coffee.  :)  Also, a cream cheese or yoghurt dip is also pretty tasty!
