  1. While 5-card draw is probably the easiest to deal with simply due to the fewer number of cards, it's not commonly played anymore. 5-card draw is what we all learned as kids, and if you don't take the intricacies of betting and playing for money into account, Texas Holdem Poker  is one of the easiest variations of the poker game. This can be one of the reasons of its popularity among gamblers.

Here you will find no complicated card counting theories. You need just attention and a good mood. They are the only things that can make your gambling more profound and careful.

The game starts on a regular basis: with a deck shuffling and two face down cards dealing. The cards that can't be seen or face down cards are called pocket or hole. after the players have their two cards, betting begins. In addition it begins with a player who sits to the left of the gambler who has made a blind. Here is a standard set of betting options: a player can fold, raise or call.

  2. Straight up 5 card poker, where you get 5 cards and whoever is dealt the best hand wins, is the most basic, but is almost never played.  5 card draw, where you are dealt 5 cards, there is a betting round, and then you can draw new cards, up to 3, 4 (with or without an A in your hand) or 5, depending on the house rule, then bet again, is one of the older games, but again, outside of a house game isn't played much.

All poker games, other than 5 card poker, are easy to learn and hard to master.  Texas Hold'em is by far the most popular right now, with Omaha a close second.

Start with 5 card draw and Texas Hold 'em, then learn Omaha, Stud, and Razz.
