What vegan restaurant was named #1 in the U.S. for 2007

Do they even do that? How about Top 10 rankings?

Being open minded and an avid cook, I'd like to try to prepare the "specialty of the house" of the top rated vegan restaurants.

Most of those choices are vegan. I guess a cook with experience can figure out much of the method from the menu item description

There are various "top 10s" for veggie establiishments. The veggie society run them - changing the categories each year to keep it interesting. Modesty prevents me from telling you who's wifey won "Best Veggie Breakfast in Europe" for 2007 for her establishment.

Various newspapers, such as the Guardian, run "top 10 veggie" lists.

Hi there,

I believe that Millennium in San Francisco was named #1 last year but I can't be totally sure.  Some other restaurants that were rated way up there is Candle 79 in New York, Blossoming Lotus in Kauai and Portland, Oregon.

Those ones are pretty consistently up there in the top 10 each year.  I know there's quite a few more but I can't think right now.
