I'm a vegetarian and i want to know what vegetables i should always have in my house that i can use for most vegetarian recipes

  1. You should include lot's of dark green vegetables...broccoli, spinach, kale, collard etc.  The darker the colour of a vegetable the better.  Include things like beets, red peppers, leeks (good for soups- just wash well first),  cauliflower, squash, cabbages, bok choy, eggplant, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, green beans, asparagus, peas, zucchini, swiss chard, artichokes.  There are so many out there!  You can bake them, grill, make soups, stir fry, stuff them, salads...there really are many, many options for you.  (Tomatoes too, even though they are a fruit!)   Don't forget things like chickpeas, kidney beans navy beans and lentils!  Hope this helps!

  3. I'll vote for having garlic on hand at all times and personally, I like having sweet potatoes on hand quite a bit, very versatile and very satisfying.

  4. I would recommend having tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, cabbage, etc. in your fridge. I would just say that you should stock up on whatever is organic, fresh, and tasty looking!

  5. There are endless vegetarian recipes so that's hard to answer.  Keep on hand your favorite veggies.  I always have tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, onions, potatoes on hand.

  7. It really depends on what you like, so it's a matter of opinion - but all veggies are good for you!

    I always keep green bell peppers, onions, red potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and celery on hand.  Kale and cabbage are VERY good for you as well but I don't cook much of it.

  8. get all the veggies you can eat with out them spoiling and expertament withthe ingredients and various recipies.
