I'm considering going vegatarian and I would like to know if anyone would give me a list of food that I'm able to eat..I know like I can have salads and stuff like that, But what else is there that I will be able to have?

I mean I havn't been eating meat for 2 months now and I need to know what I can eat to take the place of that? So I can stay healthy.

Along with the other categories of food Vegetarians can have.

  1. fruits and veggies...

no eggs, no dairy no meat and no fish is included.. fish are animals.

    so are insects... sorry.

processed food.. NO...  most 90% or more processed foods have animal product in them.

very likely most vegan/vegetarian processed foods have animal product in them.   though they marker their labels as vegan..     you find that small print and you'll also see 'dairy'  or casein.

  2. yay vegetarian. :D

they're so many alternatives to meat. likt the other day i went to the store and there was MEAT-LESS PEPPERONI lmao.. it's actually really good. well... you can also have vegie burgers, they're good. if you go on peta2.com they have TONS of vegan/vegetarian recipes, it's great. http://www.peta2.com/STUFF/s-recipe.asp ... my favorite is vegan banana bread. of course there is always tofu, i personally don't like tofu that much.. but it depends on how you cook it.. one way I cook it is by letting it soak in soy sauce and after an hour or so I fry it. it comes out crispy and tasty :D  always have tons of fruits and veggies

that's all I can think of.. but if you look on the website up there ^^ i'm sure you can find something... also if you sign up to their website you get free stickers lol :]

    hope this helped!!!

  3. Here is a small list of ideas.

Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help you if you see proof that vegetarians have the same potential as anyone else.

If you need meat or dairy during any stage of your life or to live any certain lifestyle, why does the American Dietetic Association say otherwise?

  4. Don't go vegetarian. You may think that meat is all fat, and the only thing good about it is its medium high source of protein. You may think, "Oh, I can just eat eggs and vegetables for the protein."

    WRONG!!!

Red meat's contain many nutrients other foods don't have. Iron is one example. Most foods have little or nothing of iron nutrients.

Chicken's contain many antioxidants, which stabalizes your bodies cell division.

Lamb also has many nutrients, including a high source of Omega-6, which is good for the eyes, bones, and brain tissue.

So take my advice and don't go vegetarian, and I'm not saying you should eat more meat, but eat meat on a infrequent daily basis, such as every 4 to 5 days.

  5. Vegetables.....??????

You can get the protein you need from beans and peanut butter among other things.

  6. Try to include a variety of fruit and veggies- very good sources of vitamins and minerals. Eat as many fruits and veggies raw- vitamins are easily destroyed when cooked. Eat lots of nuts and seeds, such as sunflower and pumpkin seeds and almonds. Good sources of protein include whole grains, lentils, beans, tofu, and low-fat dairy products. Remember to keep a well balanced diet.

  7. Wholesome carrots are a vegetarians best friend, be sure to include them in every meal plan.

  8. Fruits, vegetables and vegetable oils, beans, nuts, grains.  Read labels, make sure there's no meat, powdered meat, or meat fat in them.  Eat a balanced diet, lots of fruits and veggies.  There are tons of analogues out there, such as veggie sausage, veggie crumbles, veggie burgers, and so forth.
