Alright, now to specify a bit, I'm not looking to install vista on my PC rather I'm planing on getting a Macbook Pro and am thinking of installing vista on it. The only thing I would be doing on vista is playing some games. Any idea on which version of vista I should get? (If I was buying vista for my desktop PC I would buy ultimate but I don't really want to spend that much if I'll just be playing some games on it)

  1. well there is a pretty easy answer to this no matter what your going to use the Computer for

    DONT INSTALL WINDOWS VISTA

it takes 30 minutes just to turn it up and 5 minutes just to open a folder

  2. Honestly you could just get Windows Vista Basic if you're only going to be playing games.

However you've probably got a nice graphics card in that nice Macbook Pro of yours, so you should spring for Windows Vista Premium. It looks MUCH better and has LOADS of extra features to make it look nice and s**y.

But then again you've probably got the same features already on your Macbook, since Vista is just a clone of Mac OSX.

So save the money and get Vista Basic. Or shoot.... just get XP. You'll get even more compatibility with games that way.

  3. just get vista basic and major diff between home basic and home premium is media centre which you are not gone use to play games. go for basic best choice and saves money as well. i have tried each and every version of vista trust me basic is best for games as it is less heavier then the other versions .
