  1. In this case, you might want an audio version.

  2. If you want to rush through the Bible you can't go past the NIV.

The NIV has less pages because there are 64,098 less words than KJV (total - 774,746) and they have made it quicker to read by omiting 17 whole verses. (The less the better right?)

Use the NIV and your memorizing of verses are guarenteed a kick start, with the following verses, because they are not in there.

    Who needs verses like....Matthew 17:21, Matthew 18:11, Matthew 23:14, Mark 7:16, Mark 9:44, Mark 9:46, Mark 11:26, Mark 15:28, Luke 17:36, Luke 23:17, John 5:4, Acts 8:37, Acts 15:34, Acts 24:7, Acts 28:29, Romans 16:24, 1 John 5:7.

The only problem is that the NIV reader will require a higher reading level to read it, according to the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level Indicator. The NIV has a Grade level of 8.5 while the KJV's level is 5.8.

You will be able to make friends with JW's because both your NIV and the New World Translation have so much in common, like they get rid of the nastie Trinity verse in 1John 5:7 by putting a bit of verse 8 to fill the blank.

Does your Bible have 1John 5:7  'For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one'. KJV.

Also it's quicker to read because a lot of portions of verses are missing as well. Of course only the important, doctrinal, parts are gone. You wouldn't want to get bogged down.

Yes I would thoughly recommend the NIV for the lazy person that doesn't care what God's really said. It's copywritten as God's Word should be and published by the company Zondervan, which is a division of HarperCollins, who publish the Satanic Bible. What good bedfellows.

And the manuscripts coming from the Gnostics of Alexandria like all the new versions do, must be better than from Antioch where the King James comes from. Where the apostles were first called Christians. Act 11:26

  3. Lol.  The less pages, the smaller font and longer it takes to read a page.  Go for the childrens international version for an easier read- but it might be better if you just read the whole thing, you'll get more out of it.

  4. La Biblia Illustrada

  5. The Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor LaVey
