What video file format should i choose to use in order for my videos to be played on a linux-operated pc??????

well...i converted a video file to mpg from the internet to play it on windows...

but when i tried to play it on a Linux...it wouldn't work...

what should i do???

your answers would be a great help...

  2. I do not know what player you used. Try VLC Media Player. Plays everything, except Real formats. And its free!

  3. you just nbeed the codecs. linux can play any file format windows can, but you need to install them. how to do this varies from distro to distro but there should be instructions on the web page of the distro you are using.
