What vitamins are vital for healthy eyesight?

I'm shortsighted. But I heard vitamins can cause loss of eyesight? So, which Vitamins will help? And what foods are essential?

  2.     No vitamin will correct shortsightedness.  If you have a lack of Vitamin A, you will be night blind, so you need the RDA of Vitamin A.  Carrots are a strong source of Vitamin A.

  3. I ve never heard that, but vits that are good for eyesight are Lutein and Zinc.

    No vitamin or food will help with nearsightedness.
