What vitamins/minerals help improve vision?

yeah because my vision keeps getting worse every single day even though i wear glasses.

  1. If you're a myopic and a teen, your prescription will keep changing until you reach your early twenties. There's nothing to panic about it. Vegetables and fruits which has carotene has lots of vitamin A, besides fish. Include them in your diet. You may not see miraculous change in your vision, but it will help out in preventing few complications.

    A thorough eye exam is required every year to rule out retinal tears and glaucoma. In absence of any major problems, your vision will stabilize soon.


  2. maybe you need to up date your prescription. Sometimes the glasses are good for a year then our vision changes and we need to adjust the prescription.

  4. The truth is there are no vitamins or minerals that will improve your eyesight. This idea came about because decades ago scientists discovered that if you had a Vit. A deficiency it could affect your eyesight.  The average person on a normal diet containing fresh fruit and vegetables and meat will take in enough Vit. A to ensure normal eye function. Taking extra will not improve eyesight.  If you take excess vitamins the body will just excrete them and that means wasting your money if you paid for them.

    There are commercial interests (and ignorant people) that continue this 'more means better' idea but unfortunately there is no easy option. I have poor sight and believe me if it was as easy as taking a fistful of vitamins I would be first in the shop.  Go see an optician if you have a problem, Yahoo is no place to be risking your valuable sight.

  7. See a doctor. If it's noticable deterioration you might have something else wrong with your eyes.

  8. anything that has vitamin A. Orange/yellow foods contain lutein that are good for vision.
