I've been trying to find out if I can buy a curling iron at the airport so it works easily and for certain.

  1. Isreal has different shaped plugs than America.

  2. If you buy an iron in the Israel airport, it will work in Israel (230 volts)

If you're bringing one from home (I'm assuming you're in the US, 110 volts), you'll need a voltage converter made specifically for heat-producing appliances (at least 1600 watts), plus a plug adapter.

You might see if you can get a dual-voltage curling iron; then you just need to switch a dial when you get there.
