I pulled my Sankyo Sound-700 Super8 projector out of the attic, which has multiple voltage settings. The last time it was used was in Japan where it was purchased. What should it be set to? The options available are 100, 110, 117, 125, 200, 220, and 240 V.

  1. If you are in the U.S. the 110v a.c. would be the std. setting (Please make sure the 60hz setting is also chosen as europe and other countries run at different cycle settings)

  2. Actually, I would set that to 117, although 110 will probably work. Power in the United States is 120 volts AC at 60 cycles per second.

Japan is 100 volts AC, but in some parts it's 50 cycles and in others it's 60 cycles.
