People typically eat junk food when they are hungry.

Your response would depend upon your level of hunger.  An old saying says: Bhookh lagi to Nanaka, rada ve parvaan. This quotes Guru Nanak saying that if you are badly hungry, you won't mind eating even poison or hunger makes you eat everything.

If you can bear with your hunger, you may refuse to eat junk food (unless you like that) and look for something else elsewhere.
