  1. I might be able to help. I am 6'2 and about 145lbs . I just started wakeboarding however I have been surfing for 10 years so the type of board may vary between you and I. There are different types of boards from beginner to advanced. I prefer hyperlite boards but they can get real pricey. I ride an advanced board.. Harf's 2006 Premier. Some say the more advanced the board, the harder it is to get up. I actually thought it was easier. My board has a 3-stage rocker which means that it is easier to get pop off of.

My best advice for you is to customize a board from wakeworld.com or look at boards at hyperlite.com

This is what helped me pick out my board. You insert in your level, weight, height, and price range , and any company and it will pickthe board that is best for you.

The size of the boat doesn't matter.Ummm...I'm not sure about the lake. I live on the ocean so the only time I get to use a lake is when I'm at college. When wakeboarding you go pretty slow it just depends on how big you want the wake. What kind of boat are you planning on using?
