I am moving to a house which has been kept exactly as it was when it was built in the 20's (with the exception of a few appliances, although the stove and fridge are from the 70's). I would like to make it look close to the way it would have in the 20's. It's located just outside a very large farming are in eastern PA if that contributes to how the decor may have looked. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

  1. Scroll down to "Côté Parc" here. It's decorated in a 1920s style:

Also, rent movies that are set in the 1920s like "The Great Gatsby," "Bullets Over Broadway," "Chicago," and "Singing In The Rain" & pay attention to how the homes are decorated.

  2. Go to the library and look through the period decorating books.  You might also try to check out some old movies.  I'm pretty sure that was the deco period, lots of mirrored tables, bronze and for sure a dressing table.  Good luck!
