  1. Kournikova's overall career record in singles was 209 wins-129 losses.  In doubles she was 200-71.  Her highest ranking in singles was #8, which she achieved at the year-end rankings in 2000.  Her highest doubles ranking was #1, which was her year-end ranking in 1999.  Her total career prize money won was $3,584,662.  Her best singles finish in the grand slams was the SF at Wimbledon in 1997, where she was the first player since Chris Evert in 1972 to reach the semis in her Wimbledon debut.  She has two grand slam doubles titles, both won with Hingis at the Australian Open in 1999 and 2002, and she has 2 grand slam mixed doubles runner-up finishes, 1999 Wimbledon w/Bjorkman, and 2000 U.S. Open w/Mrnyi.  She and Hingis were named the Doubles Team of the Year by the WTA for 1999, and she also won the  WTA's Newcomer of the Year award in 1996. In 1995 she was the #1 ranked junior player in the world and named the ITF Junior World Champion.   Although she never won a WTA singles title, she was a runner-up 4 times, 3 of which were Tier 1 events.  In 1998 she had match wins over Graf, Seles, Sanchez Vicario, Davenport, and Hingis, who represented all of the #1 players since 1987 at that time, all within a 3-month span. Her win over Graf at Eastbourne was only the third time Graf had lost a match on grass since 1987.

As you can see, she wasn't nearly as bad of a player as she's usually made out to be in the media, although it is true that her fame was mostly a result of her beauty, which earned her 20 times more money in endorsements than what she won in prize money, and comparable to what Maria Sharapova earns today.

  2. She lost to Martina Hingis at the 1997 Wimbledon semis (at age 16), but twice won the Australian women's doubles (ironically partnering with Hingis), in 1999 and 2002.

Her highest ranking was #8 in November 2000.  Her career singles record was 209-129, and career prize money about $3.6 million - can't tell you about the endorsement income...
