I'm just very curious about this because I was reading about him the other day and it came to my mind.

  1. He was quite the inspirational character and he was quite wise.

Some speculate that he knew he was going to be assassinated, and they claim his speech he gives before he dies is proof- the one about being like moses and only getting to take a step into the promised land.

I believe his biggest fear would have to be that once the black race did gain their freedom, they would not utilize the freedom's potentiality to its fullest. He seemed to have known that their freedom WOULD come eventually, but he hoped he could help steer it in the right direction.
