What was Fast Food Nation's impact on America?

I know it scared a lot of people, and changed many american citizen's view of food, but does anyone know the statistics? Like how many people stopped eating fast food, how many eco-friendly and healthy food stores and restaurants opened up, etc...

i dont know about the impact it has had on america  as a country, but ever since i viewed it i haven't found the smell emitting from mcdonald's restaurants as appealing...can honestly say ive only eatten there once since i saw it about 6 months ago.
