    He can understand the languages of the people of Middle Earth, but thats all i remember.

  4. Shadowfax is the best of the horse that Gandalf was allowed to take by the King of Rohan, in which he greatly resented while under the charm of the evil that lay upon the land.

    Once Gandalf met with Strider and Frodo in Rivendale he released the horse back to the wilds.

  6. Shadowfax, but it was more Shadowfax allowing Gandalf to ride him, than being Gandalf's horse.  Not tolerating a bridle or saddle, he carries Gandalf by choice.

    Horses of his line were ridden only by the Kings and Princes of Rohan.
