I can't remember the exact quote, but I belive it's something like we keep living many lives until we discover the meaning?

I'm unsure about the specific quote your referencing, although he does talk about his belief in reincarnation and burning karma in many of his interviews.  Here is another quote from him not unlike the you're paraphrasing:
