it's not officially listed anywhere that i can find but from the looks of him... if i had to geuss i'd say thoroughbred. here are some links on his life and olympic story..

**if you look on her website her horses for sale are all TB, so i'm almost 100% sure that peppermint grove aka freddie was also a TB

I'm pretty sure he was a Thoroughbred i remember reading something about him in a Tribute to a Champion in Horse Deals magazine and i could find out for you but i would have to go through 40 magazines.
