  1. Yes, good question. I remember trying to read 'Beelzebub's Tales to his Grandson'. It's pretty much impossible to get through. Some of his 'followers' are a little easier to understand--but, to be honest, I think the message might boil down to something like 'live consciously'--and that's about it. Of course, to live consciously is not easy, is it?

Try reading 'The Master Game' by Robert de Ropp.

  2. The same thing that P. T. Barnum said.

  3. He was trying to say that the most rewarding journey is the one we take into the essence of things, at which end we arrive back at our own self.

    Quote:

"There do exist enquiring minds, which long for the truth of the heart, seek it, strive to solve the problems set by life, try to penetrate to the essence of things and phenomena and to penetrate into themselves. If a man reasons and thinks soundly, no matter which path he follows in solving these problems, he must inevitably arrive back at himself, and begin with the solution of the problem of what he is himself and what his place is in the world around him.”

    Gurdjieff

  4. The same thing many mystics and philosophers have been saying for thousands of years. To know thy self.
